Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

 

In Norlys Fibernet we are looking for a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to develop and implement our information security strategy – and take it to the next level. Are you experienced within cyber- and information security? And can you lead our new security and governance team towards new standards? 

New team – new position - next level
Norlys Fibernet owns, operates and maintains the largest fiber network in Denmark. As an owner of critical infrastructure, we must meet some high standards when it comes to compliance and security. 

Therefore, the security and governance agenda are highly prioritized in Norlys Fibernet, and we have high ambitions for the area. So, we have created this new and important role as CISO, and established a new team who is responsible for developing and implementing Norlys Fibernet’s information security strategy.

As our new CISO you will lead and develop a team of 5 highly skilled security specialists within governance, risk assessment, ESG and GDPR. We have the groundwork in place, but we need you to lead the way towards new standards. 

Overall, your team is responsible for… 

  • Secure contractual and regulatory cybersecurity compliance.  
  • Provide guidance and advise key stakeholders including directors, managers and subject matter experts.  
  • Monitor and evaluate the company's security infrastructure and suggest improvements. 
  • Portfolio responsible for cybersecurity projects. 
  • Secure a high level of cyber- and information security for both IT, OT and IoT. 
  • Conduct risk assessments and establish emergency recovery plans. 


You and your team will collaborate with other departments in Norlys Fibernet to integrate security practices into all aspects of the business. 

The team is organizationally located in Finance, and therefore you will refer to the CFO of Norlys Fibernet. Your workplace will be at our headquarter in Silkeborg. We value flexibility and therefore you will structure your workday to fit both your personal- and work life.

You will lead the security and governance agenda 
As our new CISO, you will be responsible for cyber- and information security for both the physical- and network infrastructure in Norlys Fibernet.

In corporation with our IT- and Technology department and the Operational Network team, you will drive the daily CISO work, including the daily cyber- and information security work, which include NIS2, CER (Critical Entities Resilience), GDPR and other safety and security requirements.  
 
Your main responsibility will be to:

  • Ensure Norlys Fibernet CISO incident response, recovery, business impact analysis and business continuity plans are always updated. 
  • Align with DPO and GRC responsible regarding GDPR, NIS2, CER and AI Resilience. 
  • Responsible for requirements of all policies and guidelines as well as roles & responsibilities for security.  
  • Regulatory reporting for security incidents. 
  • Responsible for Emergency- and Crisis Management. 
  • Responsible for the requirements of physical security and staff- & supplier safety. 
  • Advising, reporting and documentation of cyber- and information security.  
     

Furthermore, you will report to management on security status and recommendations. 

Who are you?
We expect that you have a minimum of 5-10 years of work experience in a similar position. Practical experience within an operational and technological environment will be preferred. 

Furthermore, we expect that you have in-depth knowledge of network security, system architecture, and security technologies. You are able to work both strategical, operational, tactical and technical with cyber information security.

  • Calm and able to maintain an overview in tense situations. 
  • Independent and it comes naturally to you to take charge.  
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills and you are able to translate complex content into an understandable way - both in Danish and English.
  • Fluent in both Danish and English at a business level, as you will report to management in English. 
  • A strong leader who manages to create companionship. 

  
It is a prerequisite for employment that you can get a security clearance and can maintain the security clearance throughout your employment.
