Cloud Architect

Norlys is looking for a Cloud Architect to join our Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE). In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and managing our enterprise cloud platforms across Azure and AWS.

Your Role
Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring application teams can deploy their workloads effectively, whilst managing the sophisticated cloud infrastructures that stem from Norlys' recent growth and acquisition activities.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud architectures, ensuring they meet the demands of a dynamic enterprise environment.
• Drive the enhancement of our enterprise-scale cloud platform, incorporating best practices for security and efficiency.
• Facilitate the transition of IT services to automated agile cloud-based delivery and operational models.
• Provide expert guidance on cloud architecture, fostering a culture of innovation and adoption within the organization.
• Lead initiatives for application migration and modernization, ensuring effective integration with cloud platforms.
• Develop governance frameworks that ensure compliance with security and cost management policies, maintaining the integrity of cloud operations.

Your Profile
We seek an individual with extensive experience in cloud architecture, demonstrated through a track record of success in complex environments. Your knowledge will be underpinned by a solid theoretical background in IT-related fields, and you will have experience advising on cloud solutions in a large enterprise or consultancy setting.
 

Key Qualifications:

• In-depth understanding of Azure's core services, including processing capabilities, networking, IAM, storage, and security
• Extensive experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, serverless computing, and proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
• Demonstrated ability in designing and implementing enterprise-scale landing zones.
• Strong understanding of Azure security features and knowledge of compliance frameworks.
• Experience in implementing policies within Azure for consistent and secure infrastructure management.
• Acquaintance with the Well-Architected Framework and best practices for cloud governance and security.

You should be comfortable leading initiatives and working across business and IT domains, with a focus on delivering results.
