As our new ESG Specialist, you will be part of our “Strategy & Business Development” team within Norlys Fibernet consisting of 5 colleagues, who focus on strategy and organisational change management. You will be the dedicated resource, who will be responsible for the ESG agenda – always with a great team right behind you. 

Within the team, we are working cross-disciplinary in Norlys Fibernet helping business units develop their strategy and transform it into concrete actions. Also, we are sparring partners along the journey and help adjust when necessary. 

As a team, we have a great focus on creating synergy by using each other as professional sparring partners, despite working on different projects, to continuously improve our skills. Like your colleagues, you are also expected to contribute to the professional sparring within the team.

Your workplace will be at our headquarters in Silkeborg, but you structure your workday to fit both your personal life and work life.

You will drive the ESG strategy and initiatives forward
As our ESG Specialist, you will be responsible for our sustainability strategy and will be leading a portfolio of complex projects that supports our overall sustainability objectives and drives business growth. 

You will play a critical role in coordinating key ESG initiatives and driving our sustainability strategy forward. Also, you will facilitate discussions across business units and report to the Fibernet Leadership Team (FLT).

Your responsibilities will e.g., include: 

  • Program management and coordination of key ESG initiatives across Fibernet
  • Identify critical ESG initiatives and lead the cross functional execution and implementation in Fibernet
  • Collaborate with our Financial department in ensuring compliance with CSRD and in developing best-in-class performance overview and reporting 
  • Develop recommendations & presentations for the Management Team and Board of Directors, showcasing progress, challenges and opportunities related to our sustainability efforts. 
  • Engage with external stakeholders and act as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on sustainability topics and performance. Foster relationships with industry partners, shareholders etc. to promote best practices and drive innovation in sustainability initiatives.
     

This role requires a person with strong leadership abilities, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills, who is proactive, collaborative, and capable of navigating complex cross-functional projects, while having a deep understanding of ESG principles and sustainability strategies. 

You know best practices when it comes to sustainability management
A suitable candidate for this role would ideally have a relevant higher education at master’s level in business administration, finance, or sustainability, with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in ESG implementation and reporting.

Strong project management skills, familiarity with CSRD compliance, and proven ability to analyze data and communicate complex issues effectively will be perceived positively.

  • Have proven experience in sustainability management, ESG analysis, and project coordination.
  • Have strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks and regulation, such as CSRD.
  • Have strong business acumen and problem-solving skills. 
  • Have exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Have demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments and drive cross-functional projects to completion.
