Programme Director - Set the direction of our integration project and contribute to our common goal
Location: Aarhus or Copenhagen
Do you possess substantial experience in juggling complex transformation projects within a larger organization? Can you facilitate decisions in a diverse stakeholder landscape? Do you inspire trust, and can you be part of a supportive work environment? If so, you could be our new Programme Director in Procurement, Supply Chain & Facility Management at Norlys.
Strengthen the project organization
Here, you will have the opportunity to create tangible results in one of the most exciting and complex transformation projects in the telecommunications industry in recent times. Norlys is currently in a phase, where we are to execute on the integration of Telia Mobil Danmark.
You will join the Procurement, Supply Chain & Facility Management organization, directly reporting to the VP of the department. As we are currently building and strengthening the project organization, you will have the opportunity to influence the final structure of the team. Your contribution will be highly visible and significant to both the organization and senior management.
Set the direction for the project
In your role as Programme Director, you will be responsible for Procurement, Supply Chain & Facility Management carve-out and integration, as well as overarching PMI deliveries. You will ensure that the planning and execution of these activities are coordinated with Norlys’ Transformation Office and the other departments within the program. This includes overseeing scope, schedule, and budget/value realization. You will lead the program by motivating, organizing, developing, and setting the direction for the project team, ensuring the right resources and competencies are in place.
Your role will involve collaborating with project managers to resolve issues and manage stakeholder relationships effectively. Additionally, you will coordinate activities across the program, ensuring that plans, delivery schedules, and meetings are well-structured to drive consistent progress and value realization.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Define the program’s strategies and goals based on business needs, including driving decision scenarios in complex environments for the steering committee
- Manage program-level risks, changes, and resource allocation to ensure smooth execution
- Taking charge of budgeting, financial control, forecasting and providing recommendations for the program
- Organize and facilitate steering group meetings, and keep stakeholders informed through regular reporting and communication
- Develop and oversee the coordination of related programs and projects in Procurement, Supply Chain & Facility Management.
You will ensure the necessary conditions for progress within the sub-segments of the program and will be particularly responsible for handling complex technical and resource dependencies within and outside the program. Therefore, one of your most critical tasks is to identify and align a critical path for deliveries across the program segments in close cooperation with the Senior Programme Management, other Programme Managers within the group, and other stakeholders at Norlys.
Building bridges and challenging the status quo
You are a competent Programme Manager with experience in leading significant and complex programs with many dependencies and a substantial impact on the achievement of the company's strategic objectives. A background in Procurement, Supply Chain and Facility Management is an advantage, but not a requirement. Building bridges within an organization and challenging the status quo or existing work processes is expected.
As an individual, you possess personal impact and exhibit resilience. You work in an organized manner and possess perspective, just like you have the capacity to handle and navigate through a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and demands. Also, comprehending complex relationships and generating synergy is important. Also, you have a pragmatic, inspiring, and welcoming approach to ensuring the program's success collaboratively with your project organization.
Qualities we are looking for:
- The ability to translate strategy into tactical and operational actions and solutions is essential
- Capability to interact at multiple management levels and create a common direction in a challenging transformation
- Skilled communicator with the ability to rapidly establish an efficient network and a shared direction
- A strong focus on results and change management is crucial – here leadership and the ability to create an energized and collaborative environment is essential.
